We originally interviewed Eric Perry when we thought we might build a new house from the ground up and were very impressed with his attention to detail and quality. When our plans changed and we found an existing home and property we liked, we immediately called him to do an addition of a large music/tv room with fireplace, a large screened in porch, and a large wrap-around deck. While we were out of town for several weeks, Eric and his fantastic crew of Colton and Zach did the demolition of an old deck and got started on digging piers. They encountered some unexpected issues with rock and cement in the soil, but soldiered on without complaint. We had an early delay with plans going back and forth to the county permitting department, but once all that was cleared up, they dove right in began what ended up as a fantastic construction project. Eric, Colton, and Zach were really great to work with on a day-to-day basis – always courteous, hard-working, and all around pleasant guys. The subs Eric called in for framing, electrical, HVAC, and fireplace insert were good craftspeople and did great work under Eric’s close supervision. There was a small miscommunication between Eric and us about some doors, but Eric immediately made everything right without a hitch. He was always responsive throughout the process, always communicated the work schedule clearly and accurately, and his attention to detail showed in every step of the work. We were initially drawn to Eric because of his background as a finish carpenter and he brought that level of finish to the entire project. He is a perfectionist and cared about our project like it was his own home. The project was completed in a timely manner and Eric’s care with the budget brought everything in on cost. On top of all that, Eric is a really great guy. Due to my interest in woodworking, he invited me to assist him in the construction of the cherry fireplace surround in his shop and he invited my wife out to his house to meet his wife, who toured her through her garden and gave her some plants. In the end, my wife and I say we got exactly what we dreamed of for the house! And we made some new friends. Not many folks can say that about their contractor. We highly, highly recommend him.
